Ken Durst is the technical backbone of WSSB, ensuring that every broadcast runs with crystal-clear sound and reliable transmission. With a keen ear for audio quality and a deep understanding of broadcast technology, Ken maintains, repairs, and upgrades the station’s equipment—from microphones and mixing consoles to transmitters and automation systems.
With more than 40 years of experience in radio engineering, Ken has worked on everything from live remote broadcasts and studio installations to emergency troubleshooting in the middle of a storm. A problem-solver at heart, Ken blends technical expertise with a passion for radio broadcasting.
When not fine-tuning the airwaves, Ken enjoys staying up-to-date on the latest broadcast innovations and lending technical advice to community media projects.
