Gas prices in South Carolina spiked this week.

AAA reports the average price of gas in South Carolina is sitting at over $3.92. That's 15 cents higher than this time last week.

Diesel prices are now at record highs in the state, sitting at $5.89 a gallon. This comes as the price for oil continues to rise.

Although South Carolina is seeing unusually high prices, the state remains one of the cheapest in the country to fill up.

The national average for regular gas is $4.30.
