The mattress manufacturer said it activated its crisis response to support employees and customers. The fire at the industrial site began Sunday. Though no one was hurt, crews from around the state have been working to put out the blaze.
Responders say the site is a total loss.
“Our top priority is with our Winnsboro employees and their families as they navigate the uncertainty created by this event,” MLILY said in a statement. “Human Resources is actively working with state and local agencies, including workforce and community assistance organizations, to connect affected employees with available resources and support services.”
Fairfield County is accepting donations for first responders at its fire service headquarters. A list of accepted items can be viewed on Fairfield County's Facebook page.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Crews are expected to remain on site today to search for hotspots. There is no active threat to nearby areas or residents.
