Drivers in South Carolina are beginning to feel some relief at the pump, but prices have yet to fall to last year's trends.

Gas prices are ticking downward in South Carolina.

As of Monday, the average price of a gallon of gas was $3.85 per gallon. That's more than $0.11 cheaper than this time last month.

Compared to last year, these averages are still $1.00 higher. The national average remains above $4.00 — fueled by ongoing tensions with Iran.

Filling up in S.C? The cheapest counties to get gas are in the Upstate (Oconee, Anderson, Pickens). Drivers will find more expensive fill-ups in the Lowcountry (Barnwell, Allendale, Hampton).
