Man charged with attempted murder following an officer-involved shooting in Aiken County.

32-year-old Jacob Harrison Craven is charged with attempted murder following the March incident.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged Jacob Harrison Craven, 32, of Warrenville with attempted murder following an officer-involved shooting in Aiken County on March 6.

A SLED arrest warrant shows Craven pressed a handgun to an Aiken deputy's torso during a burglary-in-progress call at a home on Connector Road in Graniteville. According to the report, the deputy first encountered Craven in the back of the home. Craven tried to run, but the officer caught up with him in a bedroom where the altercation took place and Craven was shot.

No law enforcement officers were injured. Craven was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.
