Dominion Energy will reopen its Lake Murray public parks for the recreation season in April. The Lexington-side beach and recreation area at the Lake Murray dam will be open to visitors from April 1 through Labor Day (Sept. 7).
New this year
The Irmo-side boat launch will no longer accept cash for parking. Visitors must now pay online.
What to know before you go
Lake-goers planning to visit the Lexington-side beach and recreation must reserve a day pass in advance through Dominion's online reservation system.
Passes can be booked up to three weeks ahead and are valid for one full day, but they cannot be reused after leaving.
Parking fees
Parking costs $5 per vehicle per day. The fees help cover maintenance, security and park improvements.
